AYURVEDIC YOGA MASSAGE Ayurveda is the ancient form of healing that has been in existence for some 5,000 years that originated in India.
The Meaning in Sanskrit ‘Science Of Life’
So how has Ayurvedic Yoga Massage come about? It was the life work of Master Kusum Modak who combined her wealth of knowledge of Traditional Ayurvedic Massage taught from her guru Master Lamaye Maharaj, with the knowledge of Iyengar Yoga training taught from BKS Iyengar himself. By combining these two modalities together has produced a unique system of bodywork.
Ayurvedic Yoga Massage is performed on a mat, this allows for full range stretching. The deep tissue massage helps to dissolve any physical tension, whilst the assisted stretching aids the body to realign, the breath work stimulates the natural flow of vital energy. During the treatment a topical Ayurvedic herb is applied to the skin with a small amount of oil, this acts as a blood detoxifier and nerve tonic.
Through synchronised breathing, the receiver is led progressively deeper into assisted yoga stretches that help correct postural imbalances and restore harmony to the subtle energies of the body.
These techniques can incorporate the use of the hands & feet as tools for massage. Using the feet allows for deeper and more thorough pressure through long flowing strokes.
This unique treatment can help dissolves physical and emotional blocks, eliminate toxins, promotes better posture, improves respiratory patterns, enhances energy levels, and leaves the receiver with a great sense of well being.

Experience
Coming from a successful competitive sports & dance background Jill always had a fascination with the beauty of flowing lines that could be made through movement of the body. She has grown to recognize the benefits of regular training and stretching throughout her childhood. Finding her passion for teaching & sharing her knowledge at only 19 years of age, when she begun her figure skating coaching career. Later, speading her wings across to the U.S.A. where she helped to inspire & train in skating schools and gymanstic training centers. It was in 2011 when she had the chance to deepen her long-term yoga practice, being surrounded by many wonderful inspiring U.S. teachers observing first-hand the powerful impact a regular yoga practice could make. Noticing how time and time again yoga changed lives, Jill decided to act upon her longing to study yoga and set off to study Sampoorna Yoga with Yogi Hari in his Ashram based in Mirama, Florida. Never having the intention to leave her 20yr coaching career behind. Returned home a 200hr qualified yoga shiromani (teacher) and never looked back. Jill loves to make students feel welcome, and relaxed whilst guiding them to achieve their personal goals in a fun-loving environment.

Jill's yoga style is just perfect, it is challenging enough without ever feeling unachievable and each session really sets the tone for the start of day or evening. It feels like she knows exactly where tightness and tension is held in my body as each class delivers what I need, I’ve never been taught so well to relax and open into poses. Jill will gently adjust peoples posture when needed and provides support and guidance to do the move correctly, I leave feeling mobilised, stretched, balanced, relaxed and energised at the same time.
