Welcome to Lucy Lovick Dance School, the home of exceptional dance education for children and adults in Penge and Sydenham. Changing children’s lives since 2008, we offer a wide variety of classes to inspire creativity, confidence, and a passion for dance.
WHAT WE OFFER We provide a TOTAL DANCE EXPERIENCE in South East London, offering classes in:
-Ballet -Modern -Tap -Jazz -Musical Theatre -Acrodance -Lyrical and Repertoire -Contemporary -Specialised Pre-school Dance
Starting from age 3, our classes cater to all levels and abilities. We pride ourselves on being more than just a dance school, offering incredible opportunities such as:
-Performances in West End productions -Cruise performer holidays -Dance festivals -Choreographic competitions -Annual big show productions -Open days and an annual awards ceremony
OUR PROGRAMMES FOUNDATION SCHOOL (Ages 3-7) Our Foundation programme introduces young dancers to the joy of movement and performance.
-Mini Musical Stars: For pre-schoolers, combining ISTD Ballet and Modern with music and imagination, accompanied by a live pianist. -Super Stars: For Reception age, blending ISTD Ballet, Modern, Acro, and Tap to build rhythm and fundamentals in a fun, dynamic setting. -Galaxy Stars: For Year 1 and 2, expanding on previous skills and preparing for ISTD exams or assessments.
MIDDLE SCHOOL (Ages 7+) Students move into Middle School, choosing from two exciting pathways:
-Dynamic Stars: Grades 1-4, focusing on ISTD Modern, Tap, and funky jazz, building strength and theatrical artistry. -Classical Stars: Grades 1-4, combining ISTD Ballet, Ballet repertoire, and lyrical/contemporary, with a focus on technique and creative expression. Includes "Tutu Days" to celebrate ballet history and costumes.
SENIOR SCHOOL (Grade 5+) For students seeking either enjoyment or a career in dance, Senior School provides advanced training leading to ISTD Vocational levels. Classes include:
-ISTD Imperial Classical Ballet -Ballet Repertoire -ISTD Modern and Tap -Lyrical and Contemporary -Street Jazz -Pointe Work -Progressive Ballet Technique Senior students benefit from our designated “Dance Lounge,” a relaxing space to study, stretch, and unwind after school.

I am Lucy Lovick, the founder and principal of Lucy Lovick Dance School, established in 2008. With over 15 years of experience in dance education, I have dedicated my career to nurturing and inspiring dancers of all ages. My journey began with extensive training in various dance disciplines, leading to professional performances and teaching roles. At our school, we offer a comprehensive curriculum, including Ballet, Modern, Tap, Jazz, Musical Theatre, Acrodance, Lyrical and Repertoire, and Contemporary dance. Our programs cater to students from age 3 upwards, providing a total dance experience in Sydenham, South East London. We pride ourselves on offering more than just dance classes, with performance opportunities in West End productions, cruise performances, dance festivals, and our own big show productions. Our dedicated team of experienced teachers shares my passion for dance and commitment to providing high-quality instruction in a supportive and inspiring environment.

Fees
Foundation Classes (Ages 3-7): £8.50 per class. Middle School Classes (Ages 7+): £9.50 per class. Senior School Classes (Grade 5+): £10.50 per class.
