What We Offer Our Club is a little oasis, located in north-west Kent, within the London Borough of Bromley, ideally placed for anyone living in the areas of Beckenham, Bromley, Catford, Croydon, Lewisham, New Eltham, Orpington, Shortlands, Sydenham and West Wickham.

We pride ourselves on the warm welcome we give to everyone who comes to our historic multi-sport venue in Foxgrove Road, Beckenham, just 200 metres from Beckenham Junction train and tram stations. New Beckenham train station is also just a short distance away. The Club’s vision is to encourage families from the local community to enjoy a healthy sporting life in picturesque surroundings. Whatever your age, whether you want to stretch yourself at a competitive level or play socially, Beckenham is a great place to stay fit and have fun.

Tennis Coaching At Beckenham Beckenham Lawn Tennis Club is delighted that Richard Whichello has joined the club as our new Head Coach. Richard is a well-established coach in England and brings with him 30 years of coaching experience. We have a comprehensive Junior coaching programme, from tots through to teenagers, as well as holiday camps throughout the school holidays.

Our Junior programme is divided into age groups and abilities as follows

Tots Tennis Saturdays 11.45 - 12.30pm £9/session FIRST SESSION FREE! Tots is for children aged 3 to 5 years old and through a series of fun activities, based on the fundamental areas of balance, co-ordination, agility, and movement, learn racket and ball skills. 45 minute class Tots use Mini Red balls Where possible parents/carers are encouraged to join in and help.

MINI RED Ages 5 - 8 yrs Smaller courts with shorter rackets and softer balls Develop key motor skills Structured lessons learning all the fundamental strokes in tennis Learn to score and play a match What age is Mini Tenis Red aimed at? Mini Tennis Red is for players aged 8 & under.

MINI ORANGE Ages 8 - 9 yrs Larger court, larger rackets and more pressurized balls More emphasis on footwork and refining strokes technically Increasing tactical awareness in match play situations What age is Mini Tennis Orange aimed at? Mini Tennis Orange is for players aged 8 and 9.

MINI GREEN Ages 9 - 10 yrs Full size court playing with more pressurized balls Continual work on refining technique and movement patterns More focus on matchplay Learn tactics and strategic patterns of play What age is Mini Tennis Green aimed at? Mini Tennis Green is for players aged 9 & 10.

YELLOW BALL/full tennis Ages 11 - 18 yrs Full size court and adult balls Regular drills to improve strokes & technique More challenging drills to mimic live situations Improved understanding of matchplay & tactical awareness Still lots of fun and games!
