WELCOME TO JOJO'S SCHOOL OF DANCE

At JoJo's School of Dance, we offer a variety of classes, including Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Contemporary, Lyrical, Street, Musical Theatre, Aerial Arts, Adult Classes, and Private Tuition, ensuring there’s something for everyone.

A Fun and Professional Environment

JoJo’s fosters a fun atmosphere while maintaining a professional standard. We welcome students of all ages and abilities, starting from 2.5 years old. Our wide range of classes includes Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Street, Cheerleading, Aerial Arts, Lyrical, Body Conditioning, Musical Theatre, Theatre Craft, and Gymnastics. We also offer adult fitness classes and private tuition, including singing lessons.

Qualified and Supportive Instruction

As an IDTA-qualified school, we encourage students to take graded exams and participate in local dance competitions. Every two years, we host a ‘School Show,’ allowing students to perform on stage, creating memorable experiences for both dancers and audiences.

New Parent and Toddler Class: BOP & ROLL

Our new BOP & ROLL class is designed for children from walking age to 4 years old, focusing on bonding through dance, singing, and play. It introduces basic concepts like colors, numbers, and the alphabet through stories, rhymes, and expressive movement. The class also includes playtime with safe Acro equipment, giving parents a chance to relax with a cuppa. Led by IDTA-qualified teachers, this class runs weekly during term time at £4 per session (£6 for two siblings).

Aerial Arts Classes

JoJo's offers Aerial Hoop classes for all ages and abilities. This engaging class builds core strength, flexibility, and creativity. Students warm up, practice flexibility and strength exercises, and learn to create routines on the hoop.

JoJo Star Productions: Nurturing Young Performers

JoJo Star Productions offers opportunities for students to explore theatre, from stage performances to behind-the-scenes work. Our students develop confidence and skills through performances at community events, showcases, musicals, and pantomimes. Industry professionals often provide workshops, enhancing the learning experience.

Dance Styles at JoJo’s

Ballet: A classical style of expressive movement, Ballet is the foundation of all dance, focusing on grace, fluidity, and technique. Contemporary Jazz: This style blends various rhythms and musical styles, emphasizing flexibility, strength, and emotional expression. Tap: An energetic style where dancers create rhythmic beats with metal taps on their shoes. Cheerleading: Focuses on strength, flexibility, and teamwork, combined with dynamic routines to modern music. Streetdance: Choreographs routines to pop and hip-hop beats, inspired by music videos. Musical Theatre & Theatre Craft: Prepares dancers for theatrical performances, combining physical training with creativity through improvisation and musical interpretation. Gymnastics & Acro: Focuses on strength, balance, and flexibility, teaching acrobatic moves and dance routines to music.
