About Dover Road Runners

Dover Road Runners (DRR) is a friendly and inclusive athletics club that has been active since 2002. Based in Dover, Kent, the club focuses on road running, off-road, trails, and track. DRR welcomes runners of all abilities, from those training for races to individuals simply looking for a fun and supportive environment to stay active.

With a volunteer-led structure, the club runs two training sessions each week:

Tuesdays: Focus on interval training and hill work at venues like the Duke of York Military School Track (CT15 5EQ). Thursdays: A social 10K group run starting from The Academy on Ladywell in Dover Town Centre (CT16 1AB). There's also a gentler-paced "Early Bird" session for newer runners.

Coaching Team: The club is led by a dedicated team of UKA-certified coaches, including Phillip Coleman, Sylvia Barrett, and Angela Wade, who provide professional guidance and motivation for all members.

Junior Section: DRR recently introduced a junior section for children aged 6-11, offering weekly sessions to develop young runners’ skills and confidence.
